Commercials Exploitation of the Sick and Unfortunate

This may seem at first like it's off the subject of narcissistic abuse but stay with me and see if you agree.

Have you noticed lately all of the, in your face graphic and morbid commercials?
For example ASPCA and the humane society. Now I love animals I wish I could rescue every single one from domestic pets to the endangered ones.  Anyone who could harm an animal is a very sick perverted person. They could easily do the same to a human.   Can anyone with empathy watch these commercial in its entirety?  Do they really think by showing us horrific images makes us want to donate to the cause?  Frankly, I'm motivated to change the channel.  Displaying wounded, malnourished and dying animals it's more than I can take.
What about the St. Jude or the MDA commercials they are literally exploiting these children, it's disgusting. What about wounded veterans showing a man and sometimes women who have amputated body parts or showing them with PTSD.  Only a shell of what they used to be.  Some CEO may be filling his pockets but how much actually goes to the cause, it's hard to tell no one checks them out. Airtime is expensive and those type of commercials last twice and even three times as long just to pull on your heart strings. Heart strings sounds a bit like manipulation to me. Corporate narcissist seeking those with empathy for their donations.  How typical corporate sharks feeding on the little fish. I would be more inclined to donate to their cause if they left out the graphic content. Honestly what an interesting concept.  If you've fallen for these ads don't feel bad they were designed to guilt you into giving just like televangelist do.  Basically conveying that God isn't pleased with you unless you give your hard earned money to their cause and don't forget to give generously.  These commercials have left me with a nagging sense that something's not right.  They make me sick inside.

  1. Those commercials make me sick too. Wonder how much is predictive programming to desensitize the population to suffering? I am horrified while watching them and have to turn them ALWAYS because I saw animal abuse growing up like when they killed my gerbils and beat the family dog. I just can't handle it. If I see someone beating a dog, I almost go into a full melt-down. [same for a child too of course] Animal abusers make me sick. Showing the abuse like that I think serves some sickening agenda. It doesn't seem like it would bring them more money either.

    1. These commercials are just unsettling and upsetting. There's no reason to he do graphic. Oh another one I failed to mention is the "truth" ads against smoking. They show someone who's lost body legs, had an open heart surgery,a woman that's paralyzed and a man with emphysema and showing the hole in his neck. The latest peeling a piece off of their face showing the cost of smoking. I don't smoke but I'm still annoyed with these commercials. It's so very unnecessary. Do they really think they detour anyone??

    2. I think those commercials will guarantee more smokers, because human nature being what it is, they will think that won't be me! Did you ever see the ones the tobacco companies were ordered to make, I can tell they are well designed to get people to smoke while saying smoking is bad. They have the orange logos on them.

  3. Mr Mackintosh. I need help and advice. I am in a custody battle with my daughter who is a narcissist. She has lied, lied and lied to get her way in court. I have had custody for 13 yrs of my granddaughter. My daughter now has to get for hours of psychological testing. Will she be able to beat the test? I'm so scared. My mother was a narcissist before her. It seems to skip a generation in our family. It seems to be some kind of a generational curse. I have set Ed the Lord for over 30 yrs and my truth and honesty and i integrity are completely ignored in court. My trust of myself is faltering and I feel like I'm crazy because there is an avalanche of severe Lies in court. She has also mobbed me with people I thought were my friends too. Now she has won shared custody with me and I am so afraid for my granddaughter that she abandoned horribly when she was a yr and a half. Can she beat the psych evaluation too? She's gotten away with everything else. Please help me. My email is aeyles7@gmail.com. thank you, I'm desperate. Autumn

  6. A lot of smart people I know don't watch TV--including some nonchristians. At best TV:

    1. Can be a major time sink. Some retirees I know watch over 70 hours a week.
    2. Gives us a distorted view of reality.
    3. Encourages us to buy a lot of stuff we don't need.
    4. Encourages shallow thinking. And makes it harder to read books or concentrate for very long.
    5. Openly advocates unbiblical philosophies and lifestyles. Especially anything produced after the turn of this century.

  7. Uncanny how the narcissist is like Frankenstein. Read the story. Frankenstein was not born but assembled for many different parts. He had lfe but no soul, therefore did not possess the qualities of born humans with souls. His conscious was limited to following instructions, very simplistic and with the intelligence & spiritually of a fly.

    Frankenstein
Written by: Mary Shelley who stated writting this novel at age 18 yrs,

    Adeptation: James Whales 1931

    Mary Shelley Frankenstein
was published anonymously in London in 1818. Her name Mary Shelley appeared in the 2nd edition in 1823
Mary Shelly says she came up with the name (Frankenstein) from a dream-vision.

Young scientic: Victor Frankenstein who creates a grotesque creature in a scientific experiment. Part of Frankenstein's rejection of his creation is the fact that he does not give it a name, which causes a lack of identity
Frankenstein is referred to by the words, wretch", "monster", "creature", "demon", "devil", "fiend", "wretched devil", and "abhorred devil". During a telling of Frankenstein, Shelley referred to the creature as "Adam". Shelley was referring to the first man in the Garden of Eden, as in her epigraph:

Frankenstein was assembled from many parts of and a creation of Dr. Frankenstein. Sounds like the creation of the Narcassist. Not organically or biologically or any way naturally put together, unhuman like on the inside and appearing human on the outside. Please consider, contrast, connect the dots seeing Narcassist & Frankenstein the same.

  8. It's like soul rape. The world forces itself and low moral values on you while corrupting you and making you question your convitions and depositing a stain in your soul while appealing to your sensitive nature and natural warmth, your Godliness, in a twisted application. In other words, let us appeal to your sensative side in hostil and unwarranted ways in order to get you to be moved or feel obligated to get involved and, (help), the good guys always answer the call of help, they appeal to our higher nature to come to hell and bring the suffering souls water. Thats how twisted this approach is. Seriously, if you could hear the voice of a soul in hell yelling, Help! I am suffering in this these flames, please come help me, would it be feasible, just or your responsibility to cross the gulf fixed and try to get them out. In other words the cry for help makes you want to help but you cant. If you could cross over to that place you yoursel now would be stuck there. You were baited. Appeal to you for help in order to get you to violate a part of your own soul.
